Heather Chalos

Vice President, Alignment Nashville

As Vice President, Heather oversees AN Operations, Human Resources and National Initiatives, including the Nashville Hub. She has previously served Alignment Nashville in the roles of Vice President of Operations and Associate Director. Heather is a graduate of Belmont University and joined Alignment Nashville in 2012 after having worked in children’s health for over twelve years. Her background and expertise includes non-profit management, medical practice management, volunteer management and collective impact consulting
and coaching.

Starr Herrman

Co-Director of Consulting

Starr Herrman is recognized as a national expert for her work with high school transformation, and particularly the academy model. She was instrumental in planning, directing and implementing the smaller learning communities/academies model for the Metro Nashville Public School system from 2006 to 2012. She is a former high school teacher, CTE Director and IT manager. Since retirement in 2012, Starr has served as the Director of Consulting for the Nashville Hub, serves on the Ford NGL Leadership Council, consults with many districts across the U.S. in high school transformation and is a National Career Academy Coalition accreditation reviewer. Starr has been published and quoted in various articles and journals, presented at national conferences, webinars, and is passionate about the academy model.

Alison McArthur

Co-Director of Consulting

Alison McArthur is a native Nashvillian and a product of Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS). Most recently she was the Director of Community Achieves, the district led community school initiative. She was part of developing and implementing the model that was recognized in 2017 by the Coalition for Community Schools with their Community Schools Award of Excellence.  Alison was part of the first Academy Coach cohort in MNPS when the district started redesigning high schools using the small learning communities/academies model. Prior to that she was a CTE teacher at Glencliff High School.  Alison holds a Master of Business Education degree and an Education Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision, both from Middle Tennessee State University.

Morgan tubbs

Manager of Nashville Hub & Collaborative Initiatives

Morgan Tubbs is the Manager of Nashville Hub & Collaborative Initiatives. She previously acted as Program Manager for Family University, a collaborative initiative between Alignment Nashville and the MNPS Office of Family and Community Engagement. Morgan is a Mississippi native and has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than a decade in focus areas such as creative arts, children & youth ministry, and mental health. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Mississippi State University and a Master’s degree in Social Justice & Ethics from the Iliff School of Theology in Denver.

Bethany gifford

Administrative Assistant

Bethany Gifford is Alignment Nashville's Administrative Assistant. She is a California native with a diverse background in healthcare, executive assisting, and business management. She has always had a passion for helping people, which led her to pursue a career in healthcare early on in her professional journey. Eventually, Bethany decided to expand her skillset and took on the role of a business director at a large conglomerate based in Florida. After moving to Tennessee, she worked as an executive assistant, as well as owning her own marketing company. She is a graduate of Ashworth College and has her degree in Business Management.
