This March, Nashville Hub welcomed educators and leaders from across the country for two distinct events designed to support and uplift the implementation of career academies. We cherish these opportunities to help people at all stages of implementation connect with and learn from each other, hear directly from students and expert practitioners, and gain clarity about what’s possible in their communities.
First, the Onboarding Academies Experience brought together teams and individuals to explore the career academies model. Attendees learned about the 20-year history of the Academies of Nashville, engaged in deep discussions about leadership and systems, and experienced a powerful visit to Hillsboro High School. Participants left with new ideas, stronger connections, and a clear vision for next steps in their journey.
Next, the Advanced Academies Experience gathered district leaders from across the country who are deep into their journey implementing the career academies model. Over two days, these teams enjoyed peer-led learning sessions, visited James Lawson High School, and engaged in rich conversations around sustainability, shared challenges, and what it really takes to move from implementation to impact.
Stay tuned to Nashville Hub newsletters and social media for more events in 26-27!
